Trust and privacy
Your people’s formation is in your hands.
Churches trust TareForm with applications, attendance, marks and written reflections. This page says plainly how we look after them. The full detail is in our Privacy notice.
Who can see what
- Each organisation’s records are kept separate from every other organisation’s.
- Inside an organisation, access depends on role. Administrators and instructors see the learners in their programmes; learners see their own records.
- A reflection response can be read by the learner who wrote it and by the organisation’s administrators and instructors. Other learners cannot read it.
How it is protected
- Data is encrypted in transit.
- Uploaded files are held in private storage.
- Access to our production systems is limited to the people who need it.
Where it is held
- Vercel hosts the application. Supabase provides the database, sign-in and file storage. Resend delivers email. Daily provides live video and class recording.
- These providers store and process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
- They handle personal information only to provide their service to us.
What we never do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share it for other people’s advertising.
- On our public website, analytics shorten IP addresses, and we never send them names, email addresses or learner records.
Keeping and deleting
- Your organisation decides how its learner records are used; we handle them on its behalf.
- We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- When an organisation stops using TareForm, we delete or de-identify its data on the timetable set out in our Privacy notice.
If something goes wrong
- No online service can promise absolute security.
- If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we notify the organisations and people affected, and the regulator, as the law requires.
- We tell an affected organisation without undue delay, so it can meet its own obligations.
