Terms of service

Effective 11 October 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between TareForm (“TareForm”, “we”, “us”), operated from Victoria, Australia, and the organisation that uses TareForm to run its programmes (“the organisation”, “you”).

The person who accepts these terms for an organisation confirms that they have authority to do so. You accept them by agreeing a plan with us or by using the service.

Learners, instructors and others use TareForm at the organisation’s invitation and under its agreement with us. The organisation is responsible for their use of the service. Anyone who uses TareForm also agrees to the Acceptable use section below.

Where we agree something different with an organisation in writing — for example in a plan summary or order — that written agreement takes priority over these terms.

2. The service

TareForm is software for running cohort-based formation programmes: registration and approval, cohorts, curriculum, live classes, attendance, assessment, results and completion.

Organisations are set up by us after a conversation about their programme; an enquiry on our website does not create an account. During the founding period we set up each organisation personally and may help prepare its first cohort. What is included is described in the plan we agree with you.

We improve TareForm continually and may add, change or retire features. We will not materially reduce the core service during a term you have paid for without giving you reasonable notice.

3. Accounts and responsibilities

The organisation appoints its administrators and decides who its instructors and learners are. Administrators are responsible for approving applicants, assigning roles, and removing access when someone leaves.

Each person must use their own account, keep their sign-in details confidential and give accurate information. Tell us promptly at hello@tareform.com if you believe an account has been used without permission.

The organisation is responsible for what is done through the accounts it controls, and for making sure its use of TareForm complies with the laws that apply to it, including child-safety and privacy laws.

4. Your content

Your curriculum, lessons, assessments, documents and learner records remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.

You give us permission to host, store, copy, display and process that content only as needed to provide the service to you — for example, to turn an uploaded document into structured lessons, to show a lesson to your learners, or to keep backups.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the content you put into TareForm, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law.

TareForm itself — the software, its design, the TareForm name and marks, and the Dodeka framework materials we publish — belongs to us. These terms give you a right to use the service, not ownership of it. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use TareForm to break the law; to harass, abuse or harm anyone; to upload content that is unlawful or that infringes another person’s rights; to send spam; to attempt to access another organisation’s data; to probe, disrupt or overload the service; to introduce malicious code; or to copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service except where the law allows it.

Live classes may be recorded only by the host, and only where the host has told participants. The organisation is responsible for any notice or consent the law requires.

If we reasonably believe the service is being misused, we may remove the content concerned or suspend the account involved. We will tell the organisation what we have done and why, unless the law prevents us.

6. Fees, invoicing and payment

Fees depend on the plan we agree with you, which reflects the size of your cohorts, the length of your programme, the number of intakes, live teaching and the support you need. We do not publish a price list.

We invoice the fees set out in your plan. Unless your plan says otherwise, invoices are payable within 14 days. Fees are stated exclusive of GST and any other taxes, which are added where they apply.

Fees already paid are not refundable, except where these terms or the law say otherwise. If an invoice remains unpaid 14 days after we remind you, we may suspend the service until it is paid. We give at least 30 days’ notice before changing your fees, and a change takes effect only from your next term.

7. Term, suspension and termination

Your agreement runs for the term stated in your plan and continues until it ends or is terminated.

You may stop using TareForm at any time by writing to hello@tareform.com; termination takes effect at the end of the term you have paid for. Either of us may terminate immediately if the other seriously breaches these terms and does not put it right within 14 days of being asked. We may suspend access where that is needed to protect the service, other organisations or learners.

When the agreement ends you may ask for an export of your data within 30 days. After that we delete your data as described in the Privacy notice.

8. Data protection

Our Privacy notice describes how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms.

For learner records, the organisation decides why and how the information is used, and we handle it on the organisation’s behalf. We will: use it only to provide the service and on the organisation’s documented instructions; keep it confidential and take reasonable steps to secure it; use sub-processors only under equivalent obligations; help the organisation respond to requests from individuals; tell the organisation without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting its data; and delete or return the data when the agreement ends.

The organisation confirms that it has told its learners how their information is used, and that it has any consent the law requires — including for sensitive information and for learners under 18.

9. Availability, support and third-party services

We work to keep TareForm available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance and will try to do it at quiet times.

Support is provided by email at hello@tareform.com. We aim to reply within one business day in Victoria, Australia.

TareForm relies on other providers for hosting, email delivery and live video. An interruption in one of their services may affect TareForm, and we are not responsible for failures outside our reasonable control. The organisation remains responsible for its own programme, teaching and pastoral decisions; TareForm is a tool that supports them.

10. Warranties and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

Subject to that, TareForm is provided as is and as available, and we exclude all warranties that are not set out in these terms. Where our liability for breach of a guarantee can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

To the extent the law permits, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total liability arising out of these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. These limits do not apply to liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or to your obligation to pay fees.

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content you upload or from your breach of these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will give organisation administrators at least 30 days’ notice of a material change, by email or by a notice in the application. If you do not accept a change you may terminate before it takes effect and we will refund any fees paid in advance for the period after termination. Continuing to use TareForm after a change takes effect means you accept it.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and each of us submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

If a dispute arises, we will each try in good faith to resolve it by discussion for at least 30 days before starting court proceedings, other than for urgent relief.

If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest continues to apply. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent; we may transfer ours as part of a transfer of the TareForm business.

Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@tareform.com.
